was the greeting in early January, midweek, at the bar noir. For Lena, Hannah and Lotta, it was the start of a very special evening – one of those that stay in your memory for a long time.
Because the Discothèque TORTUE delivered what it promised: a sparkling atmosphere, rousing live music and delicacies for all the senses. And at the latest when the band around pianist Josef Barnickel, a virtuoso saxophonist and singer Emi Adomakoh struck the first notes, the dance floor filled with exuberance and a real party mood.
The dress code: très chic, just like the bar noir itself. Designed by Stephen Williams, the bar knows how to combine a modern ambience with timeless elegance and refined design. As a day and evening bar with a winter garden and terrace, it invites you to linger in every season.
The house signature cocktails also proved to be a real highlight.
The absolute favorite of the evening: TORTUE Le Pont – a wonderful taste experience of Lillet Blanc, strawberry, coriander, blood orange and verjus. The offer is complemented by a varied selection of wines, long drinks and spirits.
The bar noir is a retreat for moments of pleasure during the day and a lively meeting place in the evening. It is one of five bars at the design hotel Tortue. The boutique and design hotel is located in the heart of Hamburg and has 128 individually designed rooms and suites. Situated on Neuer Wall, surrounded by exclusive shopping, the hotel combines indulgence, French flair and relaxed comfort. You enter the world of the Tortue through an archway at whose entrance “Giselle”, a small stone turtle, welcomes guests – a little nod to the hotel’s name.
Once you step into one of the three in-house restaurants, it quickly becomes: the whole menu, please! Because cuisine is celebrated and finely composed here, high-quality and with the natural ease that makes French cuisine so incomparable – cuisine par excellence.
The culinary highlight of the evening, all three agree, was the fjord salmon fillet with truffled savoy cabbage, purée TORTUE and beurre blanc.
What quickly becomes clear on this evening: the Tortue celebrates being in the moment – loud or quiet, alone or together, and all at once. Let your gaze wander and you immediately feel it: here they are in love with every tiny detail and understand the art of a roaring party.
And so were we – in love with this Wednesday evening, and one thing is certain:
We will definitely be back, and perhaps soon together with you and your guests.
Merci beaucoup, bar noir – et à bientôt.
